DOLORES DEL RÍO |
|
|
Dolores Asúnsolo and Lopez Negrete were the only daughter of the marriage formed by Doña Antonia and Jesus Leonardo Asúnsolo, prosperous cattle dealer and original retailer of Chihuahua. When exploding the revolution, the Asúnsolo emigrated to the Mexican capital, leaving back their possessions more appraised. Years later, Dolores would remember that transfer like her first contact with a Mexico very different from which she belonged: a country of farmers, strong, worthy and humble, equal personages to whom she would interpret in her more famous roles. Since very small Dolores
demonstrated atittudes for the dance, art that would present it between
the select social group in which she developed. She was indeed in a
dance recital where the young person Dolores knew Jaime Martinez del
Río, a refined and cultured heir, with whom contracted nuptials only two
months later. In Hollywood, Dolores del Río filmed more than thirty
films, divorced of her first husband, she married with the theatrical
designer Cedric Gibbons and she became an international celebrity. When
her fame entered declivity returned to Mexico, without imagining that
she would initiate a new and successful career. In our country she got
to be one of the most important figures of the national cinema where
made more than 30 films. Also played in theater, dying finally in the
year of 1983 like a true diva of our filmic industry. |
