ANTONIETA RIVAS MERCADO


Antonieta, daughter of the architect Antonio Rivas Castilian Mercado and Cristina, was born in Mexico in 1900 and died in Paris in 1931. Her life, therefore, agrees with the three first decades of our century, was an artist, patron and cultural promoter, who overflowed the molds of the feminine behavior of principles of century XX. She was friend of Jose Vasconcelos, of Federico García Lorca and enamored with the painter Manuel Rodriguez Lozano.
